The RoleOur site in Bedford, MA is seeking a Reliability Engineer Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. This position will be responsible for improving the reliability of equipment and parameters to improve uptime and process yield. They will work with process engineering and maintenance to improve procedures, troubleshooting, implementing process improvements, and documenting new procedures and tasks.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Work with maintenance team and process engineering team to drive process and product quality.
- Participate in safety programs.
- Work with teams to mitigate equipment obsolescence and business continuity risks.
- Work with teams to scope and design new equipment (coating tools, etching tools etc.) to support manufacturing capacity.
- Work with team to upgrade existing equipment to increase availability and revenue per sq. ft.
- Work with cross functional team to improve equipment availability and drive excellence.
- Review opportunities for improvement with current equipment and fixtures that could impact product yield.
- Work with development team and process team to bring new capabilities in new and support facilitation activities.
- Support equipment FMEAs.
- Review technical documents.
- Work with teams to drive cost saving efforts with equipment related expense.
- Support spare part identification.

- Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced, and diverse environment.
- Experience utilizing data to drive continuous improvement, sustainability, reliability, and cost-reduction initiatives.

- Ability to work with chemicals and in clean room environment.
- Ability to use mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Understanding of pneumatic control systems is a plus.
Mechanical Engineering or other engineering disciplines. Graduation Spring of 2027 or Spring of 2028 preferred.
Eligibility- Must be a currently enrolled student
- Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
- Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co‑op program
- Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co‑ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1‑B lottery.
Occasional lifting of items less than 20 pounds.

- Compensation: $20-$30/hour range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
