Senior Manager of Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Operations
We are seeking a Senior Manager to manage execution of processes aimed at delivering performance-based analytics within the Technical Operations organization.
Responsibilities- Manage the product costing process to support strategic business planning, standard costing, and the annual business planning cycle.
- Collaborate closely with FP&A and the Director of Inventory and Manufacturing to create and deploy a financial analytical framework.
- Supervise a costing group and oversee all financial aspects related to inventory and manufacturing operations for both commercial and clinical programs, including cost accounting.
- Manage financial accounting processes, policies, procedures, and internal controls; assist in forecasting and budgeting.
- Manage accounting for these areas and financial reporting, including monthly close for inventory, manufacturing, and clinical trials to comply with U.S. GAAP.
- Analyze and validate all inventory transactions in Oracle.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a standard cost accounting process, performing periodic cost studies and investigating actual‑to‑standard variances.
- Work with third‑party vendors to ensure accurate monthly reports.
- Develop and maintain an inventory cycle counting process.
- Provide business analysis, forecasting, and budgeting with the Technical Operations organization in partnership with FP&A, making recommendations for financial and operational improvements.
- Maintain and recommend improvements to internal accounting controls for inventory and manufacturing.
- Lead efforts to expand the Oracle Process Manufacturing module and recommend system enhancements.
- Prepare internal and external reporting, including quarterly SEC filings and support external audit functions.
- Develop monthly inventory and flux analytics to support Finance leadership and strategic decision‑making.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting/finance or a related field.
- Seven to nine years of experience in manufacturing, inventory/finance positions of growing responsibility.
- Strong working knowledge of the Oracle OPM Financials module.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory, and cost accounting.
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with accounting statements and financial reporting in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals is strongly encouraged.
- Excellent analytic skills and proficiency in Excel‑based modeling.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with internal personnel and external vendors.
- Strong managerial skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
- Strong understanding of SOX controls, design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation.

Compensation & LocationHybrid role; expected to work on site at a Sarepta facility in the United States and attend company‑sponsored in‑person events from time to time.
Targeted salary range: $136,000 – $170,000 per year.
