Behavioral Therapist:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, Human Services, Child Development, or a related field required
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions with young children and families preferred

BCBA:

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field required
• Massachusetts Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) preferred or eligibility for licensure

For Both:

• Knowledge of early childhood development, trauma informed care, positive behavior supports, and natural environment teaching preferred
• Experience with Functional Behavior Assessments, Positive Behavior Support Plans, or developmentally appropriate behavioral assessments preferred
• Passion for working with young children and families in home and community settings
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable transportation required

As a Behavioral Therapist or BCBA with Early Childhood Better Together, you will provide behavioral assessment, caregiver coaching, consultation, and evidence-based behavioral interventions for children ages 3 to 5.

You will:

• Conduct behavioral observations, caregiver interviews, Functional Behavior Assessments, and other developmentally appropriate assessments
• Develop individualized Positive Behavior Support Plans and skill-building programs
• Help children strengthen communication, emotional regulation, adaptive behavior, social engagement, play skills, transitions, and participation in everyday routines
• Provide naturalistic, play-based, and relationship-centered behavioral interventions in home, preschool, childcare, and community settings
• Coach caregivers using modeling, feedback, role play, and collaborative problem solving
• Train caregivers, preschool teachers, childcare providers, and other community partners on behavioral strategies
• Monitor progress through observation, data, and caregiver feedback and adjust interventions as needed
• Collaborate with the Mental Health Clinician, Occupational Therapist, Family Partner, and Program Director to provide coordinated care
• Support children and families transitioning from Early Intervention into preschool and school based services
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, case reviews, supervision, and team meetings

Early Childhood Better Together (ECBT) is an innovative, diagnosis agnostic behavioral health program designed to support children ages 3 to 5 with emerging behavioral, emotional, developmental, communication, or sensory needs.

ECBT bridges the critical gap between Early Intervention and school based services through coordinated, interdisciplinary care provided by a Mental Health Clinician, Behavioral Therapist/BCBA, Occupational Therapist, and Family Partner.

Through early identification, caregiver coaching, and home and community based services, ECBT helps children develop the skills they need to thrive while strengthening families, improving school readiness, and reducing the need for more intensive services later.
