Overview
DCS has an exciting opportunity for a Cybersecurity Principal to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Electronic Systems (AFLCMC/ES). The Air Force Program Execution Office for Electronic Systems (AFPEO/ES) manages and executes modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the PEO Digital portfolio, including over 130 programs for the USAF and foreign allies. AFLCMC/PEO Electronic Systems is headquartered at Hanscom AFB, MA with operating units CONUS and OCONUS.
This is a full-time position located at Hanscom AFB. The position will travel to OCONUS and CONUS locations, including the Middle East, currently the Nation of Qatar, with the possibility of supporting other locations.
Responsibilities- In an Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, provide expert-level support to DoD programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Apply technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.
- Cybersecurity & RMF Support
- Lead development and review of system security documentation including System Security Management Plans, Program Protection Plans, Security Risk Analyses, OPSEC Plans, and security CONOPS in accordance with DoDI 5000.02, DoDI 8510.01, MIL-STD-1785, and the Adaptive Acquisition Framework.
- Support system and application Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) activities under RMF, ensuring completeness, quality, and compliance of all artifacts.
- System, Network & Infrastructure Security
- Provide technical leadership in network and system architecture design with an emphasis on cybersecurity, including DoD and joint networking environments.
- Support cross-domain solutions (CDS), CSfC, and NSA approval processes.
- Risk, Compliance & Policy
- Conduct cybersecurity risk and vulnerability assessments across planned and fielded systems.
- Develop risk-based mitigation strategies and advise leadership on security tradeoffs impacting mission execution.
- Program Security & Classified Information Support
- Provide acquisition program security support throughout the system lifecycle, including source selections.
- Maintain and audit classified information databases, visit records, clearance tracking, and classified holdings.
- Leadership, Collaboration & Training
- Advise government leadership on cybersecurity design, implementation, and compliance.
- Collaborate with government and commercial stakeholders to achieve RMF authorization approvals.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to sensitivity of requirements.
- Must have and maintain a Secret level clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or Master’s preferred; 20 years of directly related experience, with 10 years in the DoD.
- Understanding of cybersecurity in DoD cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of Agile methods, including CI/CD, Dev Sec Ops , and Dev Ops.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for highly technical topics.
- Ability to interface professionally with all levels of DoD and Foreign Civilian and Military.
- Must meet additional requirements for Cybersecurity Principal positions:
- One of the following certifications: CISM, CISSO, FITSP-D, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GDSA, GICSP, CISSP-ISSAP, or CISSP-ISSEP.
- Demonstrated experience with network architecture and design;
DoD networking experience preferred with JCSE. - Working knowledge of SDN.
- DoD RMF implementation (ATO, ATC, reciprocity).
- Skilled in managing eMASS system packages.
- Working knowledge of administering servers, and security threat/vulnerability management.
- DISA STIG implementation and ACAS tool usage.
- Travel up to 20% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in an ABET-accredited engineering program with 25 years of experience (15 in DoD) OR Master’s/Doctorate with 20 years of experience (12 in DoD).
Salary Range
: $87,934-$125,000
