Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled COMSEC Manager II to support the Department of the Air Force at Hanscom Air Force Base. This role provides critical day‑to‑day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. The successful candidate will oversee the acquisition, maintenance, operation, and disposition of COMSEC equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inventories and inspections of secure equipment, such as encryption devices and secure telephone equipment (STE).
- Administer a Top‑Secret inventory and document control program to strictly account for all COMSEC materials.
- Perform the installation of STE and coordinate the delivery of keying materials to IT specialists.
- Maintain compliance with agency policies and report any discrepancies directly to the government customer.
- Act as a courier for classified information and author official receipts for all transferred materials.
- Enforce Air Force COMSEC standards by providing comprehensive security education and training to team members.
- Ensure all Automated Information Systems (AIS) security requirements related to COMSEC duties are met.
- Verify that proper physical security accreditation has been issued by Program Security Officers for all supported facilities.
- Provide leadership, quality assurance, and mentoring to junior team members.
- 5–7 years of related experience in COMSEC accountability and procedures.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working within Special Access Programs (SAPs).
- Comprehensive understanding of the issuance, receipt, mailing, and disposal of COMSEC equipment.
- Proven ability to manage secure communication devices and classified network keying materials.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide team members in a high‑stakes environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail regarding inventory management and regulatory compliance.
- High level of professional integrity when handling sensitive and classified national security information.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4 years of equivalent professional experience.
- Must possess an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility.
- Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.
