Con Res is seeking an experienced Microsoft Modern Work Engineer to deliver Microsoft 365, endpoint, security, collaboration, and infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Microsoft Modern Work technologies and strong expertise in SCCM/MECM, Hyper-V, and SCVMM. This MSP-based role supports multiple customer environments through assessments, design, implementations, migrations, troubleshooting, and support. Power BI experience preferred. Responsibilities Microsoft 365 / Modern Work Design, configure, and support Microsoft 365 environments.
Administer key Microsoft 365 services, including:
Microsoft Entra Online SharePoint Online One Drive for Business Microsoft Teams Microsoft Intune Microsoft Defender Microsoft Purview Manage Conditional Access, MFA, identity, compliance, and security policies. Implement Windows 11 endpoint management. Configure Windows Autopilot and Hybrid Entra . Manage Intune enrollment, compliance, configuration, apps, and endpoint security. Deploy Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and integrate it with Microsoft 365. Support Purview security, compliance, information protection, retention, and DLP.
Optimize, harden, and remediate Microsoft 365 tenants. Support Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant and cloud migrations. Troubleshoot complex Microsoft 365 and endpoint issues. Provide escalation support for customer environments. Microsoft Configuration Manager / SCCM Design, deploy, administer, and support SCCM/MECM environments. Manage application deployment, software distribution, patching, inventory, and compliance. Maintain SCCM collections, task sequences, baselines, and deployment workflows. Perform Windows OS deployments and upgrades.
Troubleshoot SCCM clients, site roles, deployments, and software updates. Support SCCM and Intune co-management. Create Power Shell automation and administrative tools. Hyper-V Design, deploy, configure, and support Hyper-V environments. Manage VMs, virtual networking, storage, and high availability. Support Hyper-V clusters and Windows Server virtualization. Provision, migrate, maintain, and troubleshoot virtual machines. Resolve virtualization performance, connectivity, storage, and availability issues. Assist with physical-to-virtual and virtual-to-virtual migrations.
System Center Virtual Machine Manager / SCVMM Design, upgrade/deploy, configure, and administer SCVMM. Manage Hyper-V hosts and VMs through SCVMM. Configure SCVMM fabric, host groups, networks, storage, templates, and libraries. Provision and migrate VMs using SCVMM. Troubleshoot SCVMM and Hyper-V infrastructure. Integrate SCVMM-managed infrastructure with broader Microsoft environments. Power BI Power BI experience is preferred and may support reporting, analytics, and operational insights.
Candidates with Power BI experience may help with:
Building Power BI dashboards and reports. Creating operational and management reports. Connecting Power BI to Microsoft 365, SQL Server, and other data sources. Reporting on endpoint, security, licensing, compliance, and operations metrics. Administering Power BI Service work spaces. Using Power Query and DAX. MSP / Professional Services Conduct customer technical assessments and discovery. Support solution architecture and technical design. Create implementation plans and technical documentation.
Deliver Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM, Hyper-V, and SCVMM projects. Support migrations, upgrades, deployments, and modernization efforts. Engage directly with customer IT teams and business stakeholders. Manage multiple customer projects and technical issues vide escalation troubleshooting and support. Document customer environments and configurations accurately. Participate in maintenance windows and after-hours work as needed. Follow MSP change management, security, documentation, and ticketing standards.
Stay current on Microsoft products, cloud services, security technologies, and best practices. The pay range for this position is $155,000 – $175,000 per year. This range reflects the annual salary that Continental Resources reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at the time of posting, consistent with the Massachusetts Pay Transparency Law (M.G.L. c. 149, § 105E).
