Duties

Help

* Serves as the focal point for planning, management, and coordination of life cycle logistics support for a major weapon system or subsystem.

* Manages, monitors, evaluates, and coordinates ILS plan implementation.

* Serves as the senior technical advisor on contracts.

* Serves as the senior representative and spokesperson in communicating program matters.

Duties may also include FOREIGN MILITARY SALES (FMS):

As an FMS technical expert, responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating total, cradle to grave logistics management to support a complex, major weapons system from the concept through field deployment.

Provides expert advice for complex FMS case management issues and ascertains that overall program performance is achieved as projected.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions

SPECIALIZED

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in developing and implementing logistics and equipment management policy, and/or functioning as part of a logistics management operation providing support to a specific mission, weapon system, or other program.

Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
