Job Summary
The Director, Strategic Programs & Business Operations supports the COO in coordinating and driving a unified and collaborative approach to strategic programs and critical business processes, across the Hemostasis and Acute Care Business Units and Technology Centers.
Responsibilities- Develop and ensure standardized methods, processes and tools enabling coordination with all key stakeholders, including goal setting, information and KPI reporting, business reviews, strategic plan development, execution and tracking.
- In coordination with the SBU and R&D define internal processes leading to the definition of the innovation programs, including product portfolio management plans.
- In collaboration with different functions and technology centers, provide guidance for organization and processes to optimize program management and governance.
- Network and maintain key relationships with the Hemostasis and Acute Care Executive Leadership Team, Program Management Leaders, and Corporate Leadership Team.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in business, engineering, or life sciences preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or leadership roles within the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, MDR), quality systems, and product development lifecycle.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate complex technical and regulatory topics into clear executive-level insights.
- Proven track record leading cross‑functional initiatives at scale in a multi‑site, global organization.
- High emotional intelligence, professional maturity, and ability to influence without authority.
- Minimum 5 years managing programs or operational strategy.
- Experience managing profit and loss (P&L).
- Management has the discretion to substitute relevant work experience for a degree and/or make exceptions to the years of experience requirement.
- Proven ability to bridge collaboration gaps across locations and functional/program teams.
- Executive level communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex organizational challenges to non‑technical and non‑executive audiences.
Up to 15% travel, domestic and international.
Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range is $220,000–$260,000. This role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement benefits with an employer match, paid vacation and sick leave. Management and select professional roles are eligible for a performance‑based bonus. Sales roles may be eligible for a commission plan.
