Program Manager, Principal - Secret

DCS has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Program Manager providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Electronic Systems Directorate (AFLCMC/ES). The Air Force Program Execution Office for PEO Electronic Systems (AFPEO/ES) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to manage and execute the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the PEO ES portfolio, which includes over 130 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies.

AFLCMC/PEO ES is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA with geographically separated operating units CONUS and OCONUS. This is a full-time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA.

Essential Job Functions:

In this position you will need to possess the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field and possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline. You will provide Program Management support to assist Government Program Managers in meeting guidance in FAR, DoDI 5000.02 and other applicable documents and regulations, systems and guides.

You will assist in the development, maintenance, and revisions to acquisition reports for Government Program Office requirements and special interest programs designated by the Milestone Decision Authority (MDA) and in compliance with DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63--101, Integrated Life Cycle Management, and associated AFPAM 63-128, Integrated Life Cycle Management. Duties include, but not limited to:
· Knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101/20-101
· Knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force
· Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs
· Knowledge of support activities that assist the program manager in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines, be able to recommend viable solutions to problems, and the pursuit of alternative courses of action
· Effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.)
· Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production, and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment as well as formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives
· Support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e., DAES, MAR, etc.)
· Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews
· Support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management
· Correlate EVM Cost Performance Report analysis with the monthly IMS CDRLs for programs
· Provide expert Program Management inputs to Request for Proposal (RFPs) including systems specs, Electronic Warfare Systems (SRDs), Statement of Work (SOWs), and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs), and other RFP products
· Provide services critical to Life Cycle Logistics and operational supportability
· Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate acquisition project assignments and make recommendations to Government Program Manager regarding problems with unique or controversial items that may have a major effect on the overall performance and execution of acquisition & sustainment projects
