Robot Manufacturing Technician

Overview

This position has the primary responsibility for five major areas:
1) mechanical assembly of robotics parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies,
2) inspection or verification of all parts and assemblies required in-process of manufacturing,
3) testing of sub-assemblies and assemblies within the manufacturing operations,
4) compliance with all manufacturing and quality processes and requirements including operating environment, Clean Room, ESD, 6S, etc.,
5) assisting in material handling, de-trash, pre-packaging of finished goods, cycle counting WIP, and identifying opportunities and implementing corrective/preventive actions within the guidelines of the PT continual improvement program.

This position does not have any direct reports.

• Handling and installation of bearings and motion control components
• Mechanical assembly press fit, thermal fit, interference fit
• Use of hand tools for assembly
• Installation of DC brushless motors
• Installation and assembly of vacuum hardware, gaskets, surface finish, grease handling
• Torquing of mechanical hardware
• Electromechanical assembly; wire routing, cable routing, insertion of pins, connector termination, some rework
• Handling of PCBA’s installation into mechanical assemblies and housings
• Understand vacuum leak check performance using Agilent Leak Tester (helium sniff)
• Operate in a Class 10,000 clean room and handle materials for vacuum processing
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support business requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Electrical/Electronic/Semiconductor industry
• Computer savvy; ability to use MS Excel and create charts, enter data into forms, save and recover files from network, complete forms electronically, operate in a database (ERP or MS Access)

• Work is sedentary in nature, but may require standing, walking, grasping, and lifting/moving up to 25 pounds

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology preferred, but not required.

Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is $27 to $31 per hour. The actual pay offered will be determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, job-related knowledge, internal equity, and geographical location.
