Lab Technician

Lab Technician - Biotechnology Manufacturing

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Lab Technician to join our biotechnology manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate production equipment, follow established procedures, and support the manufacturing of hyaluronic acid products. The ideal candidate has strong documentation practices, experience in GMP environments, and the ability to work in controlled cleanroom areas requiring ISO‑class gowning.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate production equipment in accordance with SOPs, Batch Records, Manufacturing Documentation (MD), and the Operational Procedures Manual (OPM).

* Execute established procedures for the production of cross-linked hyaluronic acid products.

* Review manufacturing documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

* Prepare, process, and coordinate samples for testing.

* Accurately record all data in Batch Records, logbooks, and OPM documents.

* Document daily activities following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

* Recommend updates or revisions to existing documentation as needed.

* Report deviations, non-conformances, or procedural issues to management.

* Follow cleanroom protocols and gowning procedures required for ISO 5 and ISO 7 environments.

Required Skills & Experience

* Proficiency with SOPs, GMP, and cleanroom operations.

* Experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing (4-6 years preferred).

* Knowledge of cell culture processes.

* Strong aseptic technique.

* Ability to work with chemicals including acids and bases.

* Experience with sample prep, media prep, and batch record documentation.

* Ability to gown and maintain compliance for ISO 5 (Grade A/B) and ISO 7 (Grade

C) cleanroom environments.

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field.

* Biomanufacturing, pharmaceutical, or related industry experience.

* Comfort working long periods in cleanroom PPE and controlled production areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bedford, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.50/hr.
