Senior Equipment Specialist

Responsibilities

• FTE Logistics Manager will directly address critical operational needs and mitigate risks across core FMS functions.
• A. Front-End Case Development and Planning:
  • Case Development, Requirements Definition, and Pre-LOA Assessment: provide essential expertise during the initial phases of FMS case development.
• B. Comprehensive Supply Chain and Materiel Management:
  • Spares, Repair Parts, and Non-Standard Part Procurement: oversee the entire supply chain, including procurement of initial spares, repair parts, and hard-to-find non-standard or obsolete components.
• C. Transportation and Delivery Oversight:
  • Transportation Management: coordinate all transportation activities, ensuring compliance with Defense Transportation System (DTS) regulations for CONUS and OCONUS shipments.
• D. Sustainment and Lifecycle Support:
  • Maintenance, Repair, and Technical Support: focal point for sustainment activities, including coordinating repair and return programs, managing contractor-furnished support, and ensuring availability of technical documentation and support equipment.
  • Training and Training Devices: ensure logistics considerations are integrated into training programs and provide necessary training devices and publications.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

• Certifications:
  
  DoD Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level I or higher in Life Cycle Logistics.
• Specialized
  
  Experience:
  
  experience with specific DoD systems or platforms relevant to the position.
• Additional
  
  Skills:
  
  proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to support decision-making.

• Must be a US citizen
• Active Secret Clearance
• Familiarity with Radios/Waveforms and their capabilities
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment sustainment and logistics within a DoD environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership or SME role
• Bachelor s degree in engineering, Logistics, or a related field; advanced certifications or degrees are a plus
• Extensive knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, maintenance strategies, and logistics systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and deliver presentations to senior leadership
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions in a timely manner
• Familiarity with DoD logistics and maintenance systems such as ETIMS, IMDS, and REMIS is highly desirable

Salary:
The annual salary range is $130k-$145k. Salary is dependent upon role and associated responsibilities, candidate s experience, and qualifications, including education/training and key skills.
