Manufacturing Operator – 12‑hour shift (Nights 6pm – 6:30am, Saturday, Sunday & 1 Weekday)
Job SummaryThe Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating assembly equipment and machine lines to produce membrane products, performing tasks such as green forming, sintering, laser cutting, wet saw cutting, inspecting, trimming, testing, fixturing, assembling, and packaging. The role includes quality verification, paperwork completion, safety compliance, and continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities- Verifies product visually and takes corrective action when necessary
- Ensures product matches established specifications and packaging standards
- Escalates quality issues as appropriate and adheres to Entegris quality, ISO, and other standards
- Performs operations per work orders and process record instructions, including greenform processing, cutting, cleaning, final inspection, labeling, and packaging
- Finalizes required paperwork (Production Reports, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions) and completes hour‑by‑hour sheets
- Integrates key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness, and product/system quality
- Promotes and implements continuous‑improvement tools (6S, Kaizen, etc.)
- Completes miscellaneous tasks to support production goals
- Maintains a clean and safe work area, wearing required PPE and following approved safety procedures
- Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor
- Uses metrology equipment (scales, calipers) and performs basic math
- Uses computer programs and Excel for data entry
- Operates equipment, verifies performance, and makes necessary adjustments
- Builds to necessary takt rate per product type and assists with inventory and cycle count
- Provides direction to lower‑level operators when required
- Reads, writes, and communicates in English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1‑year manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand documented processes and procedures
- Good attention to detail and ability to perform basic math computations
- Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools
- Capability to lift 50lbs, climb a ladder up to 4ft, and walk/stand during entire shift
- Repetitive hand movements such as pinch, grasp, twist, bend, and reach upward
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Stand for long periods; move hands and arms throughout the department/facility; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed; regularly lift and/or move up to 30lbs; observe close, color, and depth vision; adjust focus as required.
Work EnvironmentManufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical shock risk, moderate to high noise levels, metal powders, isopropyl alcohol, and DI water. Employees may require a bunny suit in a clean‑room area and must wear safety glasses and nitrile gloves. Additional protective garments may be required depending on the work area.
