Summary:
The primary responsibilities of this position include incoming inspection of complex components. This includes performing inspection and Quality Control procedures related to purchased raw materials, components and subassemblies, to ensure compliance with all stated manufacturing specifications and standards.

Direct Reports:
None – this is an individual contributor position with high visibility and critical path deliverables
- Inspect incoming materials and parts from suppliers using visual and mechanical tools as required
- Review and verify First Article Inspection (FAI) from suppliers
- Program inspection routines on CMM
- Work closely with Engineering on developing and modifying inspection methodologies
- Use conventional and advanced inspection devices and methods to verify dimensions to drawing specifications
- Participate in MRB meetings for disposition of noncompliant materials
- Maintain records, data, and related information as required by Quality Management System
- Recommend improvements to QMS database to better provide information for improvements
- Proficient in GD&T
- Experience with CMM inspection utilizing PCDMIS
- Ability to set up inspection for intricate components with tight tolerances
- Able to interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches, and other design documents
- Proper handling of parts in Class 1,000 (ISO Class
6) cleanroom environment - Proper handling of Electrostatic sensitive (ESD) components
- Good organizational, communications, and analytical skills
- Working understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems requirements
- Comfortable with use of MS Office Suite of Products, especially Excel, Word and Power point
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, fast paced, diverse environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Computer skills and knowledge of software tools for inspection data management
- 7+ years’ experience as mechanical inspector at a manufacturing, metrology, or machine shop environment using CMM and other metrology instruments
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
- Position requires work inside cleanroom most of the day following all cleanroom protocols
- Work requires standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling
- The position also requires ability to grasp, lift, and move up to 50 pounds, and spend some time on the computer
Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is $37 to $42 per hour. The actual pay offered will be determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, job-related knowledge, internal equity, and geographical location.
