Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm, 100% onsite
Pay: $32-36.50/hr

Job DescriptionIndividuals in this laboratory-based position will be responsible for the development and evaluation of new chromatography media and devices to purify proteins. Responsibilities include the analysis of porous materials and chromatography devices. They will evaluate new technologies, develop prototypes, establish manufacturing methods, and provide technical guidance to support newly launched products. The individual will be responsible for documenting and presenting experimental findings.
CandidateRequirements
- Must have a solid understanding of the chemical, biological, and engineering principles.
- Must have hands-on research experience planning, performing, and documenting scientific or engineering experiments.
- Must be dedicated to work efficiently and safely within a laboratory environment.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with a team.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to think independently and creatively.
- Must have a sense of urgency to meet project timelines.
- Must have strong problem-solving aptitude, with a desire to conduct experiments and do “hands on” work.
- Must have prior experience working in a scientific research laboratory.
- Bachelor’s degree with 0-5 years of industrial experience in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in the chromatographic separation of proteins, is highly desirable.
- Experience in protein separations including the use of bench top chromatography instrument is highly desirable.
- Experience with the safe handling of organic chemicals and performing chemical reactions is highly desirable.
- Experience with the analytical characterization of protein solution and porous materials is highly desirable.
- Experience with computer programming or computational modelling is highly desirable.
- Experience with 3D printing is highly desirable.
- Experience with the fundamental engineering principles is highly desirable.
