Job Responsibilities
  • Remain awake for the entire shift and to provide support to individuals in the house as needed.
  • Complete overnight checklists and reports as outlined by each individual's service plan and/or behavior plan.
  • Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each individual who lives at the residence, including completing laundry and cleaning assignments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of each individual's residential ISP and daily activity schedule.
  • Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for individuals who live in the home.
  • Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care.
  • Administer and record individuals’ medications, in compliance with MAP.
  • Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations.
  • Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed.
  • Engage in de-escalation of individuals.
Essential Job Functions
  • Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job, including weekends, holidays, and inclement weather situations.
  • Demonstrated evidence of mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, a desire to enrich individuals' lives, and a willingness to learn from skilled professionals.
  • Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals who have limited cognition and complex needs.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job.
  • Pass Guild Driving test to access Guild vehicles for transportation of individuals.
  • The ability to implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (via certification through CPI).
  • The ability to assist individuals in evacuation from the residence.
Requirements
  • Associates preferred;
    High School Diploma required.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Must undergo Massachusetts background check.
