HX5 is currently seeking a Software Engineer to support the HNI Division at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA.

The C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) focuses on providing enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard (ANG), and Air Force Reserve installations and bases. This position will join the Digital Platform as a Service (DPaaS) development team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

* Documenting and demonstrating solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.

* Preparing and installing solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

* Improving operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.

* Obtaining and licensing software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, testing, and approving products.

* Providing information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.

* Accomplishing engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

* Developing software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development life cycle.

* Plan and or implement agile acquisition/software development techniques.

* Plan and or implement Dev Ops processes and techniques for Cloud and non-cloud applications.
Salary:
This position is expected to pay $94,000-$132,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least three (3) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed.

* OR, seven (7) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements.
Preferred:
* Have or be able to obtain a CompTIA Security+CE certification by date of hire.

* Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

* Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

* Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.

* Must be able to travel, including air travel.
