OverviewPosition Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer in Test within the Digital Factory is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, tools, and processes to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of clinical decision support solutions. This role leads test automation initiatives across the product lifecycle, while also supporting manual, exploratory, integration, and regression testing activities as needed.
The Senior Software Engineer in Test is accountable for ensuring comprehensive test coverage, requirements traceability, and efficient validation of software features and system behaviors. Working closely with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and cross‑functional stakeholders in an Agile environment, this role drives scalable and sustainable test strategies that support multiple product releases and continuous delivery objectives.
This position plays a key role in establishing and advancing the System Testing function, influencing quality engineering practices and contributing to the successful development and delivery of Werfen digital products.

Essential Functions:
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks, tools, and processes to improve software quality, test efficiency, and productivity for cloud‑based solutions.
- Define and implement scalable test automation strategies supporting functional, integration, system, end‑to‑end, and regression testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery processes.
- Review and analyze automated test execution results, communicate issues and risks to the team, and log and track defects as required.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and cross‑functional teams to implement user stories, develop test solutions, and deliver high‑quality software.
- Write and maintain automation code, including reusable components and step definitions, and participate in the review of test scenarios to ensure appropriate quality, coverage, and maintainability.
- Review and approve code changes and pull requests, ensuring adherence to coding standards, testability, and quality engineering best practices.
- Define, maintain, and monitor requirements traceability and test coverage metrics to ensure comprehensive verification and validation of software requirements.
