Description:

Immediately hiring and seating a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver/Transfer Driver to join Ryder in New Bedford, MA. Driver positions pay weekly.

Schedule and location details:
Monday to Friday, shift 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, local home daily, no weekends. Paid training.

• Route:
  Shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities; P&D trucks from customers yard to Ryder shops; P&D trucks for other Ryder locations; road test trucks for our techs; support fuelers in yard operations; assist rental department with truck transfers.
• Freight:
  No touch – empty trailers for equipment shuttle transfer movement; transferring rental equipment and delivering trucks to customers and parts across lines (straight trucks, vans, day cabs, sleepers, cabovers, etc., based on transfer needs).
• Maintain accurate records and logs; comply with safety and DOT regulations; support operations as needed.

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test and background check including motor vehicle record checks for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months in the past 3 years, OR 2 years in the past 5 years, OR 5 years in the past 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions and to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
