What You’ll Do:- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, entering them into our ERP system
- Prepare products for storage and shipment
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and support a clean, organized workspace
Your day might begin with a quick team huddle to review incoming shipments and priorities for the day. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at our Contractor Operated Civil Engineering Supply Store (COCESS), you’ll unload deliveries, carefully inspect items, and log them into our ERP system. You’ll spend time organizing inventory in the warehouse, labeling products, and preparing outgoing shipments with precision.
Whether you’re operating a pallet jack or updating records, your work supports our mission to employ individuals who are blind or visually impaired. It’s a fast‑paced, hands‑on role where attention to detail and teamwork make a real impact, every day.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience (warehouse or logistics preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate a pallet jack, and stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Computer proficiency and experience using inventory systems, Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen, base security requirements and obtain Common Access Card (CAC)
- All job offers from IBVI are contingent on candidate’s ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
