Tax Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist in ongoing tax planning and coordination of client engagements.
• Conduct detailed and technical review of complex federal, state, and multi-state tax returns with an emphasis on flow-through entities.
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with our team on client issues that arise and ensure deadlines are met.
• Research tax law updates.
• Research complex tax issues, provide recommendations to the team, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Assist in team technical skill development.
• Continue to foster client relationships and serve as trusted advisor to client’s business office staff by delivering superior services and timely responses.

• 5+ years with a medium-sized public accounting firm preparing and reviewing flow-through income tax returns.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Proficient in project management including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and research.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Integrity within a professional environment.
• Experience with CCH Axcess tax, CCH Pfx Engagement (preferred).
• EA or CPA certification (preferred).
