Business Office Manager

Lily Care Hospice is a community-based hospice serving patients and families across southern New Hampshire. Our care happens wherever patients call home — private residences, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities. The office is the hub that keeps it all running, and the person who runs the office keeps the whole team moving. We are hiring a Business Office Manager for our Bedford office.

Benefits
  • Medical insurance (PPO plan)
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Company-paid long-term disability coverage
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Real ownership — you run the office, not just a front desk
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Run the front office as our Business Office Manager — phones, mail, correspondence, and visitors — as the first voice families, physicians, and the community hear from Lily Care
  • Receive incoming referrals and route them to the right team member quickly, maintain the updated patient census, and keep admissions paperwork moving
  • Build and maintain patient medical records — initiate charts, file accurately, audit for completeness, and process the information needed for insurance billing
  • Coordinate patient prescriptions with clinical staff and physicians, and keep personnel files current with all required documentation
  • Support the Executive Director and interdisciplinary team with reporting, training office volunteers and assistants, and cost-effective office practices
Compensation and Schedule

The Business Office Manager role pays $25-$28/hour based on experience. Full-time, Monday–Friday, in our Bedford, NH office. Reports directly to the Executive Director.

Skills and Qualifications
  • 2+ years of office management, business office, or similar experience (required)
  • Strong phone presence and a customer-service-first approach with patients, families, and physician offices (required)
  • Bookkeeping and clerical skills with high organizational aptitude (required)
  • Healthcare office experience — hospice, home health, skilled nursing, or medical office — strongly preferred; prior work as a business office manager or intake coordinator a strong plus
  • Comfortable learning an EMR and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Able to explain hospice services clearly and warmly to team members, families, and community partners
