Entry Level Water​/Wastewater Engineer

Job Summary

Jacobs is seeking a soon‑to‑be or recently graduated Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our team. Your immediate work will focus on solutions for water and wastewater projects and clients, applying critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities to a range of green infrastructure, stormwater collection/conveyance, and hydraulic design projects.

• Design and support environmental, civil, process mechanical, and hydraulic solutions for water and wastewater projects.

• Apply critical thinking to develop innovative, sustainable project outcomes.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality design solutions within project timelines.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Coursework with concentration in civil, environmental, and/or construction.
• Conceptual knowledge of process mechanical designs, drinking and wastewater unit processes, and technologies.
• Willingness to learn Jacobs’ proprietary software tools.
• Ideal:
  Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Ideal:
  Working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS.
• Ideal:
  Involvement in professional societies, community organizations, or volunteer leadership roles.

Base salary range: $62,500.00 to $90,000.00, adjusted for location and experience.
