Our dedicated team manages thousands of Housing Choice Vouchers annually.
RoleAs a Multifamily Lending Officer, you will play a crucial role in financing programs that contribute to our mission. In this role, you will:
- Review and evaluate affordable housing development proposals seeking NH Housing financing, including Low‑Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), tax‑exempt bonds, supportive housing funding, and other financing programs.
- Analyze project budgets, development costs, rental income projections, and third‑party reports to determine whether developments are financially viable and positioned for long‑term success.
- Build strong relationships with developers and project partners, helping them navigate complex financing structures, solve challenges, and move projects from concept to closing.
- Identify potential risks early by evaluating borrower strength, project finances, deal structure, and supporting documentation, while ensuring sound lending and investment decisions.
- Represent NH Housing as a resource and partner to the development community by promoting financing programs and helping bring affordable housing projects to communities throughout New Hampshire.
- Ability to read, write and speak English at a proficient level.
- Basic proficiency in Windows Microsoft Office 365 Suite and ability to learn new software systems, as needed.
- Three to five years relevant work experience in lending, real estate development, or financial services.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience communicating with borrowers, customers, and/or stakeholders.
- Experience interpreting and maintaining compliance with complex federal and state regulations in order to administer financial or lending programs.
- Ability to review and analyze financial documents and budgets for underwriting projects.
- Demonstrated high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Starting Pay: $78,000 - $107,500, dependent on relevant experience.
