Payroll Specialist

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is partnering with a local organization to identify a Payroll Specialist to support a fast‑paced, high‑volume workforce environment.

This position plays a key role in processing weekly payroll, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional internal service. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable managing tight deadlines and large data sets.

• Process high-volume, weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now
• Review and audit timesheets for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations
• Manage payroll adjustments, garnishments, direct deposits, and tax with holdings
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month‑end reporting
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure smooth payroll operations

• 1+ year of payroll experience, ideally in a multi‑state or high‑volume environment
• Hands‑on experience with ADP Workforce Now required
• Strong Excel skills (sorting, filtering, formulas; pivot tables a plus)
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and wage compliance
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
