Manufacturing Engineering Technician

The TRM manufacturing engineering team, through the leadership of the Signal Distributions Products Supervisor supports the production team by delivering robust processes and tooling to drive consistent manufacturing outcomes as well as continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician collaborates with our production and engineering teams to optimize the manufacturing processes by design of methods, part number specific tooling or universal tool design, ergonomics and 5S implementation, along with process flow and cell layout.

Primary Roles and

Responsibilities Include:

  • Write, implement, and train people to written work instructions or visual aids.
  • Identify the need for and work with engineering on process improvements for the purpose of increased quality, increased efficiency and/or increased performance.
  • Review BOM's, routings and work instructions to prepare work locations for material and tooling presentation.
  • Work with the assigned team to reduce error opportunities and reduce labor hours per unit.
  • Work with other members of the manufacturing engineering team by providing process level data that supports continuous improvement efforts in manufacturing processes, tooling, and hardware.
  • Assist in ECO process and implementation as required.
  • Be a key member of the team evaluating internal product quality issues.

Requirements

Personal

Qualifications:

  • US Person
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing company
  • The ability to understand interactions between engineering roles and production environments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to improve manufacturing processes with required input tools.
  • Goal oriented person with the passion and ability to drive results.
  • Organized, task driven with a proven ability to multitask.
  • Passion for continuous improvement
