is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented CNC Setup Operator 1 to join our Gears & Blanks / Machine Shop team in Bedford, New Hampshire. This is an onsite position on 2nd shift, supporting the production of high-quality components that meet exact specifications.

Job Summary

As a CNC Setup Operator 1, you will setup and operate CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality components that meet specifications. This role is responsible for proper machine setup, maintaining quality and safety standards, and supporting efficient production within the machine shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
  • Select and install tooling, fixtures, and materials required for each job, ensuring proper machine configuration
  • Load raw materials and safely unload finished parts while maintaining production flow
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machine setup and part production
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances
  • Monitor machine performance and identify/report issues with quality, tooling, or equipment operation
  • Make basic program edits or adjustments under the direction of the supervisor to maintain part quality and efficiency
  • Maintain adherence to quality and environmental management systems (QMS and EMS) procedures and standards
  • Keep machines, work area, and tooling clean, organized, and in good working condition
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and support staff to meet production goals
  • Accurately complete required production and inspection records
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
  • Additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented machining professional who takes pride in producing high-quality work. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC equipment, a strong understanding of blueprint reading and precision measurement, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.

A high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related CNC machining experience—or an equivalent combination of education and experience—are required. Candidates must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and communicate effectively in English.
