Registered Nurse- Surge Unit Nights

Unit Details

The surge unit is a 14‑bed unit specializing in cardiac/telemetry and medical/surgical patients. It is overseen by the CICU inpatient managers and the position is based in the CICU, primarily assigned to the Surge Unit with the expectation to float to other areas as needed. The surge RN works with a 1:4 patient ratio and an LNA 1:14.

The surge nurse delivers comprehensive care to patients and families, ranging from basic to complex needs, utilizing the nursing process. The role creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patients and families and practices in accordance with the organization’s interprofessional practice model, the ANA’s Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, the Nursing Code of Ethics, and relevant specialty standards of practice.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
• Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
• Ability to obtain a BLS qualification during orientation and maintain it throughout employment; ACLS is preferred.

$15,000 bonus eligible (paid in 3, 6, and 12 months). Nursing Student Loan Paydown Program up to $20,000.

Night shift for the surge unit: 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours weekly with every other weekend requirements.
