The Elliot Pain Management and Interventional Spine Center at River's Edge is a multi-disciplinary group of professionals committed to the compassionate treatment of patients in pain. The Center specializes in the scientific assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pain‑related disorders. We believe that early diagnosis and minimally invasive interventional therapy substantially reduce the number of patients requiring surgery or proceeding toward disability.
PositionSummary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive care to patients experiencing acute and chronic pain. The RN supports patients during radiological procedures for those with needs ranging from basic to complex, applying the nursing process to ensure safe, high‑quality care. Responsibilities include caring for patients throughout the pre‑procedure, peri‑procedure, and post‑procedure phases. The RN fosters a therapeutic environment for patients and their families and practices in alignment with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice Model, the ANA Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics.
Practice is open Monday‑Friday, 7:15 am – 3:45 pm.
- Embraces and promotes change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment.
- Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
- Utilizes current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identifies areas for improvement.
- Demonstrates competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision making and critical thinking skills.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License.
- Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment. ACLS preferred.
