Manages the operation of the school kitchen and creates an atmosphere in the school cafeteria that encourages students and staff to purchase their meals from the food service selections. Covers Peter Woodbury Elementary School, Riddle Brook Elementary School, Memorial Elementary School, and McKelvie Intermediate School.

7.5 hours per day. Supervises building food service personnel. Assures food service staff understands the program's goal and objectives and implements them. Outlines specific duties and work schedules for the food service staff. Provides appropriate training and feedback to staff to meet performance requirements. Assures the staff adheres to state food and safety guidelines as specified under HACCP. Maintains adequate and accurate records and controls, including but not limited to:
Titan Solutions for POS, daily operational reports and records, inventory and preparation of weekly food and supply orders.

High School Diploma required. Associate’s Degree in culinary arts or commercial food service operations preferred. Minimum of three years in food service in a school or comparable environment, including experience as a head or lead cook. Experience using spreadsheets, cash register (computerized sales) and account reconciliation.

Standard kitchen food preparation surfaces and worktops, tile floors.
