Special Education Teacher, Special Needs / Learning Disabilities
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This role is based at a single campus and begins on August 24, 2026, continuing through June 7, 2027. You9ll work closely with a dedicated group of 9-12 students in a Multiple Disabilities (MD) classroom
94serving those with autism, non-verbal needs, and physical impairments
94as well as 10-15 students within an Emotional Disabilities (ED) setting, focusing on behavioral plans, social-emotional development, and crisis intervention.
Candidates must be committed to providing individualized, compassionate instruction and fostering an inclusive learning environment for all students.
Key
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher licensure.
- Experience supporting students with multiple disabilities, autism, or physical impairments highly valued.
- Familiarity with emotional/behavioral disorders, behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and crisis management strategies.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
- Strong documentation skills for maintaining IEPs and tracking student progress.
- Passion for supporting students9 social, emotional, and academic growth.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs tailored to each student9s needs.
- Deliver engaging academic and social-emotional instruction in both MD and ED classroom settings.
- Manage and maintain compliance with BIPs and crisis intervention protocols.
- Collaborate with staff and families to create a supportive environment.
- Utilize adaptive tools, technology, and strategies for communication and learning.
