Aventura at Walton Hills is seeking a friendly, energetic, and compassionate Activity Aide to join our team! The Activity Aide will help create meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents while supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being.

• Assist with planning and facilitating daily activities and recreational programs for residents.

• Encourage resident participation while respecting individual interests, abilities, and preferences.

• Lead or assist with activities such as games, crafts, music, exercise, social events, and group programs.

• Provide one-on-one activities for residents who may not participate in group programs.

• Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, outings, and resident-centered programs.

• Help prepare activity materials, supplies, and the activity area.

• Maintain a welcoming, safe, and organized environment.

• Build positive relationships with residents and encourage social interaction.

• Document resident participation and provide feedback to the Activity Director regarding resident interests and needs.

• Follow all facility policies and procedures while promoting resident dignity, choice, and quality of life.

• Previous experience working with seniors, in activities, recreation, healthcare, or a long-term care setting is preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Creative, dependable, patient, and enthusiastic personality.

• Ability to work effectively with residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities.

• Must be able to work cooperatively with residents, families, and members of the healthcare team.
