About the roleThe Wastewater Technician II is a mid-level position within the Industrial Wastewater operations Wastewater Technician II will be experienced and capable to conduct industrial wastewater treatment on all water streams utilizing the various technologies and chemicals available to them independently. The Wastewater Technician II will also be adept in petroleum recovery operations. The Wastewater Technician II will be proficient in waste stream sampling, tanker transfers, waste stream QA/QC, bench testing, waste stream treat code assignments, batch wastewater treatment, and basic petroleum recovery operations.
The Wastewater Technician II will be mechanically inclined to liquids management and troubleshoot for transfer operations. The Wastewater Technician II will also be cross trained to conduct sludge press operations, tank wash, and non-bulk operations.
- Perform basic chemical analysis such as pH, flash point, FOG, solids, PCB, Halogen, ICP-MS, and ammonia.
- Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, yard dog, high vac trucks, wheel loaders, excavators, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Sampling tanker trucks and containers.
- Using a hose connection and unloading of tanker trucks.
- Performing waste stream QA/QC & lab analysis.
- Performing oil line and wastewater treatment line operations.
- Submit all associated paperwork, as required, for regulatory and safety record keeping requirements.
- High School Diploma / GED required
- 1-2 years of experience
- Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, and twist for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds
- Ability to pass respirator fit test
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- First aid/CPR/AED certification
- Experience in Net Suite
- Boiler license preferred

Pay TransparencyReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable).
Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $52,200.00 - $69,400.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
