Heavy Equipment Operator

About the Role

This position is eligible for a $3,000 sign‑on bonus. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse of various forms through Reworld's industrial disposal process.

• Operate and inspect forklifts, roll‑off truck, yard truck, excavator, loaders and skid steer.
• Treat and blend waste using large material handling equipment.
• Manage the safe operation of the site’s equipment in the assigned areas.
• Conduct daily motorized machinery inspections on the site’s equipment.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management, including plant operations.

• Two years’ experience in the operation of excavator and/or mechanical equipment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to take appropriate safe action on their own initiative to prevent equipment damage or injury to personnel during emergencies or unusual situations.
• Requires respirator fit test and wearing PPE on a daily basis.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Base pay range: $47,400.00 – $63,100.00 USD. Pay is based on primary location and may be adjusted from time to time. Eligible for additional benefits as described above.
