Are you a "hands‑on" worker who thrives in a rugged, fast‑paced environment? We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our 1st‑shift team in Bedford, OH. In this role, you won't just be sitting in a cab; you’ll be an essential part of our production backbone. You’ll split your time between operating a CAT Lift‑truck and performing the gritty, physical work necessary to keep our facility running—including cleaning out hoppers and managing raw concrete materials.

Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Plus OT) - Environment:

- Equipment Operation & Material Moving
- Operate a CAT Lift‑truck to safely maneuver heavy loads of raw materials and finished products across the facility yard and production floor.
- Feed stone, sand, and cement components into the Hopper system to maintain an uninterrupted production flow.
- Organize and stage materials for upcoming shifts, ensuring the production area is stocked and ready.
- Hopper Maintenance & General Labor
- Use jackhammers, scrapers, and other hand tools to chip away hardened concrete and debris from the interior of the hopper.
- Perform "hands‑on" cleaning of machinery and work zones to prevent mechanical clogs and safety hazards.
- Identify and remove contaminants or oversized debris from raw material piles before they enter the mixing system.
- Safety & Quality Control
- Conduct pre‑shift safety checks on the Lift‑truck and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to mitigate risks associated with heavy dust, wet concrete, and moving machinery.
- Monitor material levels and consistency, communicating with the production team to adjust loads as needed.
- Essential functions:
wear steel toe shoes, work in a non‑temperature controlled environment, lift up to 75 lbs manually, stand for 8 hours at a time, work up to 8 hours of overtime per week. - Skills:
heavy equipment operation, front loader machine, labor, pulling, pushing, lifting, standing, cleaning.
- Years of experience: 1 year (Entry Level)
- Education:
High School (required)
