Powder Coater / Fabrication Assembler
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
We are hiring a Powder Coater / Fabrication Assembler for a well-established manufacturing company that builds and finishes metal fabricated products and assemblies. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality work, enjoys hands-on fabrication, and wants a long-term position with growth potential.
What You'll Do:- Prepare metal parts for powder coating including cleaning, degreasing, masking, and surface prep
- Apply powder coat finishes using electrostatic spray equipment
- Monitor cure ovens to ensure proper temperature, dwell time, and coating quality
- Inspect finished parts for defects such as runs, coverage issues, or surface imperfections
- Measure and verify coating thickness using calibrated gauges
- Maintain and clean powder coating equipment (spray guns, booths, ovens)
- Assemble metal weldments and components using hand tools and work instructions
- Read basic engineering drawings, work orders, and assembly instructions
- Install fittings, brackets, and hardware per specifications
- Complete basic quality checks and documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Prior experience in powder coating, painting, fabrication, or manufacturing preferred (will train the right candidate)
- Ability to use hand tools (wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers, torque tools, etc.)
- Ability to read basic drawings or work instructions is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a production environment with heat, dust, and chemicals
- Must be able to wear and pass respirator requirements (fit test/medical eval required)
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
