TIG Welder – Repair and Leak Tester

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour (Based on Experience) Join a Growing Manufacturing Team! We're hiring an experienced Leak Tester to join a well-established manufacturing company that produces custom fuel tanks and hydraulic reservoirs. This is a great opportunity for someone with TIG welding experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work and wants to be part of a stable, growing organization.

In this role, you'll inspect finished products, identify leaks, and perform precision TIG weld repairs to ensure every product meets the highest quality standards before shipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform leak testing on fabricated fuel tanks and hydraulic reservoirs
  • Identify leak locations and complete TIG weld repairs on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Follow written work instructions and quality procedures
  • Use hand tools and inspect fittings using knowledge of thread types and thread pitches (NPT, UNC, UNF, Metric, etc.)
  • Document inspection and testing results accurately
  • Report quality concerns and recurring issues to production and quality personnel
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Work closely with the Quality and Production teams to ensure products meet customer specifications
Qualifications
  • Previous TIG welding experience on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Experience performing leak testing or quality inspections in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing prints
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with hand tools and threaded fittings
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and quality standards
  • Basic shop math skills
  • Ability to pass a print reading and shop math assessment
Preferred Experience
  • Manufacturing or fabrication experience
  • Quality inspection experience
  • Fuel tank, pressure vessel, or metal fabrication experience
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
  • Regularly lift up to 75 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around welding equipment, noise, and fabrication machinery
  • Must wear required PPE at all times
