What You'll Do:

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on refrigeration units, HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and electrical components.
• Troubleshoot and repair essential store equipment including ovens, slicers, scales, freezers, coolers, and checkout systems.
• Monitor and maintain building automation systems and temperature logs for refrigerated displays.
• Replace filters, belts, bulbs, ballasts, and other consumable parts.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
• Respond promptly to emergency repairs such as refrigeration failures, leaks, or power outages.
• Support minor carpentry, painting, drywall repairs, and fixture installations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tools, parts, and supplies while communicating effectively with team members.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities, or trades such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or refrigeration.
• Knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems is highly preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the capacity to work independently.
• Physical dexterity to lift, climb ladders, and perform hands-on repairs safely.

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience working in grocery or retail environments.
• Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades.
• Experience with building automation and refrigeration monitoring systems.

Preferred

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications highly valued.
• 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in a commercial or retail setting.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work in person at a busy store location and travel to other local locations.
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting and climbing.
• Flexibility to respond to emergency repairs outside standard hours if needed.
