Responsibilities
- Obtain, research, and compile information on claims filed for settlement.
- Ensure files are accurate and complete before sending to the claims adjuster.
- Act as the point of contact for borrowers, clients, and vendors regarding filed claims.
- Answer and respond to telephone inquiries from clients and borrowers.
- Request status updates from vendors (e.g., appraisers, skip‑trackers).
- Obtain missing information on files by contacting appropriate parties via phone, fax, or email.
- Ensure files have the required information and documentation before proceeding to the adjuster.
- Assist borrowers, providers, and clients with problems or questions regarding their claims or policies.
- Document files with pertinent information.
- Ensure compliance with state laws, policies, and company procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer).
- Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of claims processing.
- Knowledge of collateral protection insurance (helpful).
- Insurtrak knowledge (helpful).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a claims environment.
- 1–3 years of general office experience.
