Auto Claims TechnicianJob Description
The Auto Claims Technician supports the Claims department by managing claim documentation, maintaining accurate file records, and coordinating communication across borrowers, clients, and vendors. Success in this role is driven by ensuring claim files are accurate, complete, and prepared timely for adjuster review, while maintaining compliance with internal procedures and state‑mandated requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Scan, upload, organize, and distribute incoming mail and claim‑related documentation.
- Process and monitor title transfer and re‑titling activities for total loss, theft, and recovery claims.
- Maintain accurate claim inventories and status tracking using Microsoft Excel and internal systems.
- Prepare, review, and submit departmental invoices for approval and payment processing.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to claims adjusters and claims operations staff.
- Update and maintain claim records, ensuring documentation is complete and compliant with company standards.
- Assist with correspondence and communication between customers, vendors, clients, lienholders, and internal departments.
- Maintain and update procedural documentation to reflect regulatory, compliance, and process changes.
- Support special projects and other claims‑related administrative duties as assigned.
- 1+ year of clerical / administrative auto claims support experience, preferably within automotive (property and casualty, environments).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for tracking, reporting, and data management.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive claim information professionally.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
