Data Analyst, Data Scientist, AI Engineer (Applied/Software)
Job Summary
Our Growth Scientists are strategic problem solvers who combine business curiosity, data science, and AI to drive measurable growth. They don't simply analyze data—they partner with leaders across Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Brand teams to identify opportunities, influence decisions, and translate complex analytical findings into business strategy. This is not a traditional analytics role tucked behind a keyboard. Success requires equal parts technical depth, business acumen, and communication.
You'll spend time meeting with stakeholders, asking better questions, challenging assumptions, and helping leaders make smarter decisions. Then you'll leverage SQL, Python or R, machine learning, and AI-powered development tools like Claude Code to turn those ideas into scalable analytical solutions. The ideal candidate is an AI-first data scientist who remains deeply hands-on while serving as a trusted strategic partner capable of telling compelling stories with data and influencing decisions at every level of the organization.
- Serve as a trusted analytical advisor to Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Brand leaders by helping frame business problems, prioritize opportunities, and influence strategic decisions.
- Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
- Present complex analyses through compelling narratives that explain what happened, why it happened, and what should happen next.
- Challenge assumptions and provide data-driven perspectives that improve decision quality across the organization.
- Partner cross-functionally to identify high-impact growth opportunities across acquisition, retention, pricing, and customer lifetime value.
- Build predictive and prescriptive models that influence business decisions.
- Design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests, experimentation frameworks, and causal analyses.
- Independently write production-quality SQL and Python or R to acquire, model, and analyze complex datasets.
- Leverage Claude Code and modern AI development tools to accelerate analysis, prototyping, documentation, and solution delivery while maintaining rigorous technical standards.
- Build reusable analytical products, AI workflows, and automations that scale decision-making across the organization.
- Influence executive decision-making through concise storytelling, thoughtful visualizations, and recommendations grounded in statistical rigor and business context.
- Advanced SQL skills and the ability to independently solve complex analytical problems.
- Strong programming experience in Python or R.
- Experience building predictive models, machine learning solutions, and statistical analyses.
- Experience designing and evaluating experiments and A/B tests.
- Exceptional business curiosity with the ability to connect analytical insights to operational and financial outcomes.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills with experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
- Experience using Claude Code, Cursor, Git Hub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar AI coding assistants as part of daily development.
- Ability to validate AI-generated code, identify incorrect assumptions, and apply sound business judgment.
- 2–4 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- They think like strategists before acting like programmers.
- They spend as much time asking the right business questions as writing code.
- They are comfortable presenting to executives and influencing decisions.
- They remain deeply technical, writing SQL and Python or R daily.
- They leverage AI as a force multiplier while applying rigorous human judgment.
- They measure success by business outcomes, not reports produced.
- Paid bi-weekly
- Company Paid Holidays
- Flexible Paid Time Off
- Paid Parental Leave
- Multiple health care insurance plans that cover medical, dental, prescription, vision, and employer HSA contributions
- Competitive 401(k) Program with employer matching contributions
- Daily dress code of “business casual”
- A positive work environment
- And much, much more
