Registered Nurse – Emergency Room – Mid Shift

May be eligible for a sign‑on bonus up to $25,000.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”

The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

  • Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strive to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures. Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and other lifestyle changes. Prepare patients and families/caregivers for future self‑management.
What Qualifications You Will Need
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within one year of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) credential.
  • Associate Degree in nursing.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • BLS/Basic Cardiac Life Support Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training or Satori Alternatives Management of Aggression certification must be obtained within one year of employment start date.
