RN Operating Room

Medical City Healthcare seeks an RN Operating Room nurse to deliver expert perioperative care in a fast-paced, collaborative surgical environment. The RN will perform circulating and scrub roles, ensure sterile technique, conduct pre-op assessments, and monitor patients throughout procedures. Working with surgeons, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams, this role supports safe, high-quality outcomes, accurate documentation, and compliance with infection-control standards. The RN will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient and family education, and continuous clinical skill development.

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the perioperative process
• Serve as circulating and/or scrub nurse, ensuring sterile technique and proper instrumentation
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform pre-op assessments, verify consents, and participate in time-outs
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and support immediate post-op recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation in EHR and adhere to all regulatory standards
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and staff education
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and post-op expectations
