Qualifications Here's What You Need Bachelor's Degree Nursing required RN – Registered Nurse required upon hire BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required. CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required Certification in CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse) OR CWOCN (Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse) OR CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse) within 6 months of hire 2 years nursing experience required Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
What You Will Do Assists in the identification of ineffective and costly processes and takes action to improve those processes Work with other team members to resolve patient issues Ensure communication with other care providers is timely, accurate, and complete Post-operative patient/family teaching and discharge instructions, referrals and supply needs Assists staff to maintain current knowledge and competence for WOC patients through orientation, educational programs, role modeling, consultation and review of policies and procedures according to national guidelines
