Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Family Centered Care/Mother Baby- Part-Time Nights

Registered Nurse (RN) Part-Time Nights – Family Centered Care
- Mother Baby for Texas Health HEB

Work location: Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022

Work hours: Part-Time, Night shift, 24 hours weekly, 2-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Mother/Baby Unit Department Highlights
  • 12 bed Mother Baby and Maternal/Newborn Unit
  • 9 bed LDR, 3 OR suites, 4 bed OB ED unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month
  • Level III NICU
  • Couplet care and Maternal Designation
  • Level III Maternal Designation
  • Certification rate over 50%
  • Nursing Clinical Ladder participation rate over 50%
Here’s What You Need
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • RN
    - Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS
    - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • NRP
    - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
  • CPI
    - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
  • 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
  • 1 year of Mother/Baby experience preferred
What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
