Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED) Part-Time Nights

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) – Part‑Time Nights

Work location: Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway, TX 76022
Work hours: Night Shift – Part‑time (24 hrs/week; 2 shifts of 12 hrs each – 7 pm to 7 am)

Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred)
  • Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience or completion of an RN residency program
  • Registered Nurse upon hire
  • CLIA compliance for foreign education equivalency
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) prior to independent patient care; maintained quarterly
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training within 90 days of hire
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 12 months
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months
  • Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care using the Nursing Process (assess, plan, intervene, evaluate)
  • Assess patients and plan individualized care
  • Provide interventions and evaluate effectiveness
  • Incorporate age‑specific safety and infection‑control measures into care
  • Initiate actions to meet patient or significant others’ need for information
  • Maintain continuity of care between shifts, hospitals, and during out‑of‑hospital transfers
