Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from different companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $13.00–$15.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.

- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are 10–15 hours.
- Availability before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology for communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark display at assigned stores. - Holiday support:
Provide additional days and extended hours during the work week around Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May be required to work on the holidays themselves, including weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in installations and other tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments; may include evenings or weekends. - Team support:
Support other team members as needed in the network of merchandisers.
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must kneel, squat, walk, stand throughout the day, and climb stairs or ladders as required.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores.
Part‑time employees with a work schedule of less than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
