Pay: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
A friendly and nurturing primary school in Bedford is seeking a Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join their Early Years team from April through to the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive setting that places strong emphasis on early development, play-based learning, and children's wellbeing.
You will work closely with the class teacher and Early Years staff to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
Responsibilities- Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Provide high-quality care and learning support to nursery-aged children
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Support children's personal, social, and emotional development
- Observe, assess, and contribute to children's learning records
- Work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively with parents
- A recognised Nursery Nurse qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years)
- Experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
