Supporting the Section Head ,thesuccessfulcandidatewilloverseecomplexGC-MSworkflows,drivemethoddevelopment,andensurehigh-qualitydeliveryacrossdiverseenvironmentalmatrices.

Key Responsibilities Analytical Operations:
Run,maintain,andtroubleshootadvanced GC-MS , GC-QQQ,HeadspaceGC-MS ,andGC-FID/TEAsystemsinahigh-throughputlaboratoryenvironment. Method Development:
Leadcontinuousmethoddevelopment,optimisation,andvalidationfortrace-levelcontaminantstosupportexpandinganalyticalservices. Quality&Compliance:
Workstrictlywithin ISO
17025 and MCERTS accreditationframeworks,maintainingdataintegrity,robustQA/QCprotocols,andnon-conformanceresolution. Technical Leadership:
Guideandmentor Analyst sand Extraction Chemists ,assistingwithworkloadprioritisationanddailyoperationaldelivery. Troubleshooting:
Resolvecomplextechnical,instrumentation,andsamplematrixissuestominimisedowntimeandpreservedataquality. Project&Client Delivery:
Manageanalyticalworkflowstomeetstrictturnaroundtimes,communicatingcleartechnicalinformationtosupportclientprograms. Essential Skills&

Experience:

Degreein Chemistryorarelatedscientificdiscipline(orequivalentlaboratoryexperience). Strong,hands-onexperiencerunning,maintaining,and troubleshooting GC-MS orGC-QQQinstrumentationwithinanaccreditedtestingenvironment. Proventrackrecordin method development andvalidation(ideallysupportingISO
17025orMCERTSstandards). Solidunderstandingofsampleextractiontechniques,chromatographicseparation,andmassspectrometrydataevaluation. Excellentcommunicationandleadershipskillswithexperiencementoringjuniorlaboratorystaff. Desirable

Experience:

Experiencetestingenvironmentalmatricessuchaswater,wastewater,soil,sediment,orair/gassamples. FamiliaritywithspecialisedGCtechniques(e.g.,Headspace,GC-TOF,GC-TEA).
