Thisisakeypositionwithinthe Liquid Chromatography (LC) department,takingownershipofanalyticaloutputforakeybusinessstream.

Supporting the Section Head ,thesuccessfulcandidatewilloverseethecompleteanalyticaljourneyfromsampleextractiontodataanalysisandreporting.

Key Responsibilities
Analytical Operations:
Operate,maintain,andtroubleshootHPLC,IC,LC-MS,andLC-MS/MSsystems(includingsingleandtriplequadrupoleinstrumentation).
Quality&Compliance:
WorkstrictlywithinISO
17025frameworkrequirements,ensuring accurate,reliable,anddefensibleanalyticaldata.
Method Development:
Develop,optimise,andvalidateanalyticalmethodsforpesticides,novelcompounds,andemergingenvironmentalcontaminants.
Team Supervision:
Directandsupport Analyst sand Extraction Chemists ,prioritizingday-to-dayworkloadstomeetstrictturnaround,quality,andproductivitytargets.
Troubleshooting:
Resolvecomplextechnical,instrumental,andsamplematrixissuesacrossvariouschromatographyworkflows.
Commercial Delivery:
Maintainawarenessofprojectpriorities,clientturnaroundtimes,andlaboratoryKPIs,assistingwithprospectivetechnicalquerieswhererequired.
Essential Skills&

Experience:

Degreein Chemistry orarelatedscientificdiscipline(orequivalentlaboratoryexperience).
Strong,hands-onexperienceoperatingandmaintaining LC-MS and LC-MS/MS instrumentationwithinanISO
17025accreditedenvironment.
Deeptechnicalunderstandingofsampleextractiontechniques,chromatographicseparation,and massspectrometry dataevaluation.
Proventrackrecordoftraining,mentoring,orsupervisingjunioranalystsandlabstaff.
Excellentorganisationalskillswiththeabilitytomanagecompetingprojectdeadlines.
Desirable

Experience:

Experiencedevelopingorvalidating methods forpesticidesoremergingcontaminants.
Priorexperiencemanagingsmallprojectworkloadsorsupportingcommercial/client-facingtechnicaldesks.
Exposuretoautomatedsamplepreparationsystemsormodernlaboratoryinformatics(LIMS).
